Not only did my clients become more successful in their professional lives but so too in their personal lives. After all, just as we may bring our personal biases or frustrations to work, at least as often we bring our work frustrations home to our personal relationships.
Soon I was being sought out by and began informally coaching many on a broad spectrum of personal and professional goals, sharing in the satisfaction that comes from bringing about transformative change. It was at this point that it became clear that I had to formalize my coaching career, leading me to establish SMC.
Aware of the reputation of the coaching industry as a highly unregulated one, it was important to me that I complete my training with the Co-Active Training Institute, widely regarded as the “gold standard” of coach training programs.
Coaching is a powerful tool to complement and enhance therapeutic outcomes. I love working with my clients to bridge insight into action. In many cases, clients have been in therapy for years and haven’t been able to integrate therapeutic insights into their daily lives. They are aware of their problems and tired of going deeper without having opportunity for practical application. My clients want change. Through action-oriented coaching with strategy focussed accountability, they find themselves able to unlock their full potential.
Often our success in the professional arena turns as much on our ability to navigate interpersonal relationships as on our technical abilities. Through a holistic approach, having regard to your unique professional circumstances and personal experience, we will design actionable strategies that will facilitate your professional development and success - professionally and, in most cases, personally.
The past is a vast place. It is easy to get lost in it. We will take a forward-focused approach, aiming to unlock your full potential. Often, however, we are burdened by the self-limiting beliefs internalized from our past that leave us stuck from fully enjoying our future. The good news is that by understanding and contextualizing these self-limiting beliefs, we can learn to leave them in the past where they belong, to develop healthier habits and to take greater control of our future.
